Q286381 edit

I don't understand why you are duplicating characters. Medea and Jason are already listed as characters. Why list them twice? --EncycloPetey (talk) 01:27, 24 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, First of all, I have to apologize because I forgot to create a description in English for my posts. I create new entities for the theatrical characters of Euripides' tragedy "Medea" (as Q60607452) because entities like Q174278 are talk about mythological creatures , not for the theatrical characters of the play. I think that they aren't the same thing. I suggest we have to remove from tragedy Q286381 the articles about the mythological creatures like Q786573, Q176758, Q191725. Maybe we can have a conection between theatrical character and mythological creaute with P1074 (or with a familiar property). I am watting for your feedback. Alternative names edit

Hello Katikei, I see the excellent work you are doing for the Athenian theatres, actors and other contributors. I would like to point out that edits such as this, are usually not done in Wikidata, most probably because they have very limited use. The system will find the name in whatever order. I say most probably, because they might be some rule as well, but I am not telling you in order to notify about some rule. I am only telling you because I believe that the rest of your edits are invaluable, so my proposal is to focus on the rest of your contributions. No need to answer :) Keep up the good work. --FocalPoint (talk) 11:06, 10 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

"Subclass of" statements on entries on performing arts productions edit

Dear Katikei,

I've just noticed that you have mistakenly added "subclass of" statements to a number of entries on performing arts productions. Example: Miss Margarita (Q61629914). Could you please revert these? - You can generate a list of problematic items by entering "Q43099500" in the class field of the Wikidata Ontology Explorer.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. --Beat Estermann (talk) 16:24, 8 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your comment. I will revert it as soon I can (technical problem with my laptop the last weeks)

Katikei (talk) 11:43, 9 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

(I think this is the same issue as the one pointed out by Beat Estermann)

Hi Katikei, please see here. I fixed this, but you must be doing something wrong! Check it out. --FocalPoint (talk) 22:23, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Not in one item edit

Hi Katikei, please see this. It now has two instances of the same show, one at 1965/1966 and one at 1969/1970. This have to be two different items. I am doing it now. --FocalPoint (talk) 18:18, 17 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

The Caretaker (Q61681677) and The Caretaker (Q62086590)

Also, on another issue, I guess that what you meant here was this.

Finally, I think that this is wrong (why I removed it), but I am not sure what is the right way to record it. --FocalPoint (talk) 18:37, 17 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

About "(Q61681677) and Q62086590)". Its not a new production. It is a rerun (the difference is the two actors). I am not sure that we have to make new entities for reruns.

About "based on vs manifestation of". It is a complex issue. Some projects use "manifestation of" for plays and "based on" for novels that adapted for theater. I think is better than the WikiProject Performing arts using of "based on". Please let me know if you have changed "manifestation of" το "based on" in more entities because I have based a lot of queries on these properties.

About "drama Q39892385)". I am not sure what is right here. It is in use -with P136- in WikiProject Performing arts. I have based on https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_Performing_arts/Typology#Performance_Types

Thank you for your time Katikei (talk) 19:43, 17 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

== based on (P144) rather than manifestation of (P1557) ==

Hi Katikei,

I see that most contributors are using based on (P144) rather than manifestation of (P1557), so I am changing your contributions. I hope you agree.

One more time, I am very much impressed from your work. --FocalPoint (talk) 09:36, 1 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please don't do it KatiKei

I disagree but I stop, however, please see your own contributions:

--FocalPoint (talk) 09:53, 1 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

I understand your arguments but I need the data as they are until the September-October. Then we can talk to change them. Thank you

Katikei (talk) 10:00, 1 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

I use P144 when a stage production has a lot of differents from the play and P1557 when the stage production stay close to the play
