Hello, I'm Horcrux. In case you didn't know, descriptions begin with a lowercase letter except when uppercase would normally be required or expected. Essentially, you should pretend that the description is appearing in the middle of a normal sentence, and then follow normal language rules. Most terms would not be capitalized if they appeared in the middle of a sentence. However terms such as proper nouns (e.g. the names of specific people, specific places, and specific titles) should be capitalized. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks!  Horcrux (talk) 19:24, 26 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please add sources and identifiers (e.g. IMDb for actors) to items you create (e.g. Babaseun Faseru (Q113236461)); this will help to establish their notability, ensure that statements are accurate, avoid duplicate items, and otherwise make Wikidata better. Additionally, please remember the above message about how descriptions should generally begin with a lowercase letter. Thanks, Jamie7687 (talk) 19:02, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

As an example of an identifier, I added the IMDb ID (P345) "nm8810280" to Shalewa Ashafa (Q113265223); please add identifiers in this way for the reasons I mentioned. Thanks, Jamie7687 (talk) 02:53, 25 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

possible duplicate

edit

You created Tunbosun Aiyedehin (Q113265435), which looks like it might be a duplicate of Tunbosun Aiyedehin (Q108027390) with a slightly different spelling. The dates of birth are the same, and it looks like the IMDb ID you used is the same as well. Do you agree that they are the same person? Thanks, Jamie7687 (talk) 03:10, 25 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

date of birth (P569)

edit

Hello again! I just wanted to let you know that when you enter a date like "August 13" (or "13 August", "8-13", etc.) for date of birth (P569), that gets entered as August of the year 0013 CE. If you are entering a day and month of birth without a year, please use birthday (P3150) instead. Help:Dates and related documentation may have some more information for you. Thanks, Jamie7687 (talk) 15:07, 27 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Bovlb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent description edits to Q119065121 didn't meet the Wikidata description guidelines. Descriptions should appear as though they were in the middle of a sentence, typically start with a lowercase letter, and written from a neutral point of view. For example, "pop singer" would be a better description than "He is the best pop singer." If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.
