P407 for films edit

Hey, why you are adding language of work or name (P407) to films? original language of film or TV show (P364) should do it. Queryzo (talk) 10:11, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Queryzo: oh sh**.. Well, in hewiki most of our infoboxes are connected to Wikidata, so I went through the movie infobox, and added the data to wikidata using this tool. In this template, the "language" paramater was connected for some reason to language of work or name (P407), so I accidently added it instead of original language of film or TV show (P364). How can I revert just the changes in language of work or name (P407)? I did many other changes that I don't want to revert. If it's not possible, Is language of work or name (P407) really wrong to use? Anyways, what is the difference between original language of film or TV show (P364) and language of work or name (P407), There are too many properties indicating the language and it's really confusing.

Thanks.--Mikey641 (talk) 11:25, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

I'm about to fix that, see my contribs. Queryzo (talk) 12:39, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
Queryzo Thank you very much and I'm sorry for adding this--Mikey641 (talk) 12:42, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Queryzo: why do you think one should use original language of film or TV show (P364) and not language of work or name (P407). I supposed that original language of film or TV show (P364) is only used for version, edition or translation (Q3331189) which has different language from original language of film or TV show (P364). --Infovarius (talk) 22:09, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
I don't know why, but all movies in wikidata use original language of film or TV show (P364) instead of language of work or name (P407). Maybe @Jura1: can say sth. about the intentions. Queryzo (talk) 22:11, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
Movies generally have many P407, but just one P364.
--- Jura 08:55, 10 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
Good point! It is because film items usually about works, not editions. --Infovarius (talk) 19:28, 15 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Descriptions edit

@Queryzo: Hey. I need your help. I added descriptions using this SPARQL code:

SELECT DISTINCT ?item ?adm WHERE {
  ?item wdt:P31 wd:Q247073 .
  ?item wdt:P131 ?adm.
}

The "?adm" label in hebrew wasn't right so now the labels are wrong. I need to revert my edits. How did you do that last time using petscan? Thanks--Mikey641 (talk) 15:59, 14 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I used Petscan. The easiest way would be to add the correct descriptions again. Queryzo (talk) 16:08, 14 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Queryzo: the thing is, that [http://tools.wmflabs.org/pltools/descriptioner/ decriptioner won't let me correct them. Do you know how do I revert my edits? --Mikey641 (talk) 16:12, 14 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
No, I have no experiences with the descriptioner, maybe you get some answers in the project chat. Queryzo (talk) 16:17, 14 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Coordinates edit

Please be more cautious importing coors from hewiki. Not all coors are suitable to import, like coors for sport tournaments or spacecraft. Thanks. --Jklamo (talk) 00:18, 24 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Same for people.--Jklamo (talk) 23:11, 24 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
sorry. I'm done importing.--Mikey641 (talk) 17:58, 25 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

People and P1705 edit

Hi Mikey, for people there is name in native language (P1559). Please use that. [1].
--- Jura 18:35, 26 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Jura Ahhh... I didn't know of it... I stopped the bot. Should I revert these edits and then switch them to name in native language (P1559)?--Mikey641 (talk) 18:38, 26 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
There are some 2000 uses now. Ideally we'd move all of them over. Supposedly not all are yours.
--- Jura 18:45, 26 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
Well I just reverted my edits and now I'm redoing them on name in native language (P1559). Thank you for telling me the right property--Mikey641 (talk) 18:49, 26 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
Nope nope nope. Not all items have the name as the label. See for example, this edit to Rabbeinu Tam (title followed by a pseudonym). Please revert. --Yair rand (talk) 23:54, 26 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
I'm not going to revert 60,000 edits because of one bad one. I'm just going to revrt all the rabbis.--Mikey641 (talk) 09:26, 27 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

P1559 duplicates edit

Hello, I've just removed about 600 name in native language (P1559) statements like this imported by you, because they contained the same value Wikidata already had, but without space. Please be careful not to reimport these statements. --Lockal (talk) 17:25, 29 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much. I'il be more carefull next time--Mikey641 (talk) 18:50, 29 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
