Dear Nikola,

As of October 12, 2023, WikiKids - a Dutch-language children's encyclopedia - has a Wikidata property (P12086). I am currently working to find ways to add WikiKids IDs to Wikidata items, as, for example, this item has. When I clicked on a random item through this link a moment ago, I found out that the user Tinker Bell had added the French Vikidia ID to an item. She did this via batch #25723 (I had never heard of "batches" before). Right above that, I saw that you had added the Microsoft Academic ID to that one item using batch #25586. That's how I found you.

On the Wikimedia Forum, I made a call for adding interwiki links to WikiKids, but unfortunately I haven't been able to find anyone yet. So my question to you is: could you perhaps create a batch that links WikiKids IDs to Wikidata items? Or do you know someone who would be willing to do this? Or else, could you explain to me how to do this myself?

I look forward to hearing from you!

Kind regards,

Sander

Hi, what you are trying to achieve is pretty straightforward. We are using quickstatements to edit Wikidata in bulk. All you need to do is to have autoconfirmed status on you user (50+ manual edits) and then supply the tool with a tab-separated file with the QID of with wikidata object, the prop WikiKids ID (P12086) and the value you want that prop to have on the object. I think there is a 5K line limit so you might need to do it in several batches.

If for some reason you don't want to do it yourself, share the full mapping in a google sheet and i'll upload them for you.

Dear Nikola,

By now, Quesotiotyo has helped me with adding WikiKids IDs to Wikidata items. We are now only looking for a tool to quickly - ideally automatically - add interwiki links on WikiKids articles to articles on other wikis, for example to Wikipedia or the French Vikidia. Right now this has to be done manually by adding [[wp:Article name]] (for Wikipedia) or [[fr:Article name]] (for French Vikidia) on each article. Do you perhaps know of a tool (applicable for WikiKids) that could do this?

By the way, I wish you a happy New Year!

Kind regards,

Sander
