Merging items edit

Hallo Stegop,

For merging items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It has an option "Request deletion for extra items on RfD" to automatically place a request to delete the emptied page. This way of nominating makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

Help:Label edit

Hello Stegop,

Thanks for helping with the items for given names. So much to do!

Not sure if you found Help:Label yet. Unfortunately there is no Portuguese language version available yet. The main point (and difference to Wikipedia) is that several items can the same label. Thus, please avoid adding disambiugators like "(sobrenome)" to items (example).

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. --- Jura 10:04, 7 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

The (former) Neapolis municipality (formed in 1990s by the administrative merger of the villages in the region) and the village from which the municipality took its name are not the same thing [1]. The (former) Neapolis municipality consists also from other villages with significant history apart from Neapolis. --C messier (talk) 13:57, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

@C messier: I don't doubt that you are right, but essentially in most of the Wikipedias there is just one article about the the village/municipality, not specifying if it is the old or the new one. It doesn't make sense is the situation we had before I made the redirect: that one can't find en:Neapoli, Crete in fr:Neapoli (Crète) or pt:Neápolis (Creta), as the 3 articles are basically about the same thing. --Stegop (talk) 15:42, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Populations are different, and also in greek there are two different articles (one for the village, and one for the municipality). --C messier (talk) 13:27, 23 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
@C messier: Yep... The Greek Wikipedia is the only one that has two articles, so one of of those articles has no valid interwiki... --Stegop (talk) 15:22, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
