This page is intended to inform users about Wikidata accessibility. Being accessible means that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with Wikidata, and that they can contribute to Wikidata. Among the major populations concerned are blind and visually impaired people and people with physical impairments.
As a guiding principle, we should aim to meet WCAG 2.0, which is an ISO standard for web accessibility, to its level "AA", and to "AAA" where practical.
While no detailed review of Wikidata has been made as of December 2012, Wikidata seems to have a fairly good level of accessibility. Tables and interactive elements seem to be correctly formatted by the software. Since users can only fill specific forms with text, they cannot easily break accessibility at the moment. Major accessibility improvements would need changes to the software - it is on the side of the developers.
