Motivation
editThe Bertelsmann Transformation Index (Q827630) (BTI) measures the political and economic change processes in developing and transitioning countries around the world. The status index describes the state of political and economical transformation; the governance index refers to the quality of the political management of transformation processes. Both are calculated every two years for 137 countries since 2006. The BTI is used by governments around the world and NGOs including Transparency International, for example.
The BTI is currently available for download as an Excel spreadsheet. If there is consensus, we would love to share the status and governance index under CC0 license on Wikidata. -- Bertelsmann Stiftung (talk) 14:41, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
