Motivation edit

Electronics manufacturers are required to register devices with the Federal Communications Commission (Q128831) prior to the devices being sold in the United States. Upon registration, the Federal Communications Commission (Q128831) assigns a FCC Grantee Code (Q66823447) to the organisation. This identifier is then widely used as part of FCC ID (Q66823441) which is engraved/stamped/labelled on electronics devices and included in product documentation.
