Motivation edit

Latin Place Names is an online reference source from the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section (Q7294494) of Association of College and Research Libraries (Q4809736). It provides information on Latin place names found in the imprints of books printed before 1801 and their vernacular equivalents in RDA (Resource Description and Access) form. Main entry points for names are given in the locative case, as they generally appear in the books. Other forms, if they appear in early printed books, are given as cross references. Some entries have a note giving the documentation for the place name and the name forms found in that source. Having a link from Wikidata to this source will provide information on the Latin forms of name of the place. UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 23:48, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
