- Comment Not sure if external-id is appropriate. What happens when two authors have the same name?

- It's a frequent problem with identifiers, e.g. VIAF has several entries about several people named "Douglas Adams". Wikidata has two items: Q21454969 and Q42. Searching for "adams+douglas" at VIAF can find them, but doesn't identify them.

- Oppose yeah, I'm concerned about Jura's issue, and also the fact that it doesn't really seem to be a well-curated ID - for example there is aeschlimann+jean-paul and aeschllmann+jean-paul (l substited for an i, clearly mistyped). Nomen ad hoc are you in touch with the people running this, can you tell if they are expending effort on curation? ArthurPSmith (talk) 21:40, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- OK, I've marked it as withdrawn. Nomen ad hoc (talk) 17:00, 16 April 2018 (UTC).
