Motivation
For the field of metabolomics (Q12149006) mass spectra are important. Recently, a subset of the research community proposed and adopted a new identifier for mass spectra, the SPLASH (see SPLASH, a hashed identifier for mass spectra (Q27795847)). This proposal aims at being able to list splashes for spectra for compounds, just like we have PDB ligand ID (P3636) for chemical compounds (ligands), making experimental characterizations of chemical compounds easier to find with Wikidata. --Egon Willighagen (talk) 12:13, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
