Motivation edit

It would appear that I was wrong when I said that SPoT skater ID (P8634) was the only significant skateboarders database. Curiously, a lot of the identifiers in The Boardr are the same as in SPoT (e.g. Tony Hawk is 1006/1006, Elissa Steamer is 351/351). I'm guessing that at some point, The Boardr's database was made by forking the SPoT database — apparently both of The Boardr's founders previously worked at SPoT so that makes sense. The sites do not appear to be sharing data anymore though, as newer skaters will have differing IDs (e.g. Kyonosuke Yamashita is 8981/29493) –IagoQnsi (talk) 20:18, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
