Motivation

WarSampo is an excellently integrated semantic web portal about WW2 in Finland. It includes nice UI and RDF representation.

"Unfortunately" the URLs are a bit too structured for WD, which allows only a single substitution param in FormatterURL, and no tweaking. Otherwise the Person ID (this) and Army Unit ID (next) could be accommodated in one property. Also includes:

• events (eg battles)
• places
• photographs
• magazine articles

Place URLs come in 3 varieties:

• Helsinki: http://www.sotasampo.fi/en/places/page?uri=http://ldf.fi/warsa/places/municipalities/m_place_509
• Lapinjärvi (kylä from Karelian map names 1922-44): http://www.sotasampo.fi/en/places/page?uri=http://ldf.fi/warsa/places/karelian_places/k_place_195
• Helsing (contemporary Finnish Geographic Name): http://ldf.fi/pnr/P_10239521

These could simply be imported as URL prop of the respetive places, since making an ID prop like "places/municipalities/m_place_509", "places/karelian_places/k_place_195", "pnr/P_10239521" seems like the wrong thing.
