Motivation edit

The statistics authority in Sweden Statistics Sweden has defined a new code/identifier to be used for type of entities like minor locality in Sweden (Q14839548), urban area in Sweden (Q12813115) and a few more types. This new code is supposed to be more stable in that only the "type letter" (T, S, F, V or H) will be changed when e.g. a minor locality in Sweden (Q14839548) gets "promoted" to a urban area in Sweden (Q12813115) or vice versa, see Ny kodstruktur för SCB:s statistiska bebyggelseområden (in Swedish).

This new code is already in use in the "SCB map tool", link for example 1 above, and these links are displayed at the bottom of all infoboxes in articles about minor locality in Sweden (Q14839548) and urban area in Sweden (Q12813115) in Swedish Wikipedia, see e.g. sv:Vallentuna.
