Discussion edit
Question Since you only gave one example, it’s hard to tell if you intend this property to apply to individual items in a collection, or something else. Is the value of this property intended to be the person who bequeathed the asset? If so, the label should be changed to “bequest of” or “bequeathed by”. “Bequest” does not mean a person, and in fact in some cases there is a named bequest that includes a number of items (the Iveagh Bequest at Kenwood House is an example). Perhaps “donor” would be better if we want the person? - PKM (talk) 03:37, 25 July 2019 (UTC)

- Is this not already covered by donated by (P1028) ? If necessary the nature of the donation could be clarified by qualifying the donation statement with subject has role (P2868) = bequest (Q211557). Therefore, on the face of it, this property appears unnecessary. Jheald (talk) 21:39, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose Unless it can be shown this must be separate from donated by (P1028). Circeus (talk) 04:16, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
