- Similar to number of deceased by period in location, I wonder if we don't want to add this to items for demographics of places, e.g. demographics of Norway (Q1996448) instead of Norway (Q20). --- Jura 15:49, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
Support Wikipedia articles already routinely report this. This is the sort of information which would go in infoboxes and other kinds of charts for humans to read. I especially like Wikidata reporting values which is already familiar from general reference text descriptions, and this value is a part of routine descriptions of countries. This needs to be qualified with point in time, typically a year. I think that this will usually apply to countries. I am not sure if this can apply to regions or demographic groups. Comment What about application to non-humans? This source talks about births per 1000 animal years. Should we incorporate this and add it as an example?
- Support This sounds like an important property that is currently missing, and I think that should also be applicable to non-humans. For the label, however, maybe we should use "births per thousand" so that it is more clear? Or alternatively, we could not specify the units in the property definition and allow editors to use the units field when entering values. The-erinaceous-one (talk) 22:00, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
