- Motivation
Property to indicate to what episcopal conference a diocese or a bishop is associated with. It could also be used on items such as Catholic Church in Canada (Q1205551). Amqui (talk) 00:45, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- Discussion
- Support A structured and useful resource. Benoit Rochon (talk) 00:49, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose use part of (P361). Thryduulf (talk) 10:46, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- I don't think this is accurate, the bishop is part of the conference, not the diocese itself. Amqui (talk) 15:17, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- In which case the modelling seems like it should be bishoppart ofconference, conferencepart ofdiocese or maybe use affiliation (P1416) for one or both relationships. Thryduulf (talk) 16:49, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- The conference is not part of the diocese, it's larger. It's the same concept that a member of parliament is part of the parliament, but his district is not "part of" the parliament, but the district is "affiliated" in some way to this parliament (i.e. federal district vs provincial district). Amqui (talk) 17:08, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- In which case what about using affiliation (P1416)? Thryduulf (talk) 14:40, 4 November 2016 (UTC)

- Oppose I see no reason why the episcopal conferences should have a special item. "Associated" seems also quite vague. ChristianKl (talk) 20:36, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Amqui, Benoit Rochon, Thryduulf: Not done because no consensus has been found and the proposal is stale. ChristianKl (talk) 16:25, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
- Support : a diocese or a bishop can be part of several conferences, for example Guadeloupe is part of both the Caribbean Ecclesiastical Conference and the French Ecclesiastical Conference, cdt, --Speltdecca (talk) 00:20, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
