Planned useThere are millions of locations/entities, those are franchisee of a business, a food chain, a school or something else. It will make thing clear if it is a franchisee or independent business.
We should NOT confuse it with retail chain (Q507619) or parent organization (P749) or media franchise (Q196600), these are totally different things. For the franchisor, use of a franchise system is an alternative business growth strategy, compared to expansion through corporate owned outlets or "chain stores".
