Motivation
editI think it makes it easier to keep track of these. Wikidata currently has no visibility on what's there. (Add your motivation for this property here.) --- Jura 12:35, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
Discussion
editConditional support only if datatype is Item. --Tinker Bell ★ ♥ 18:29, 9 July 2021 (UTC)- @Tinker Bell: I don't think these projects are notable as such. It can be years until they come out of incubator if ever. Personally, I'd oppose an item datatype property. --- Jura 09:23, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Jura1: I do think they're notable, anyway, I can link to their items with statement is subject of (P805), so Support --Tinker Bell ★ ♥ 19:49, 12 July 2021 (UTC)
- Currently, when a new Wikipedia edition is moved out of Incubator, an item is created for that site. Most recent ones can be found at Wikidata:Database_reports/WMF_projects/new. --- Jura 11:45, 13 July 2021 (UTC)

- what about if there are several projects for one language? Examples: acewiktionary and acewikivoyage. How to maintain the link when one project leaves the incubator (URL are not easily maintainable on the long term)? Pamputt (talk) 14:18, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- I don't think there should be a single value constraint on the property. Incubators in languages without any current WMF projects are obviously more important, especially for Help:Wikimedia language codes/lists/all. Given the datatype, I think the usual would apply: we add an end date. Possibly we could even remove it entirely. A complex constraint can monitor projects that leave Incubator, similarly to the way we already do for new wikis. BTW seems Tinker Bell's support was overlooked as it's at the end of their comment. --- Jura 18:59, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Pamputt: can you explain why you don't consider Tinker Bells' Support ? --- Jura 19:00, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Jura1:, my mistake, sorry. I read too fast. Pamputt (talk) 19:04, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
