- Discussion
- Comment There seems some overlapping with right to vote (P2964), which is about elections/votes rather than countries and also is more specific using items. Lymantria (talk) 18:44, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose as this can and does vary by type of election, and can have many qualifiers (e.g. gender, marital status, property ownershp, residence, etc) that right to vote (P2964) can detail but this cannot. Thryduulf (talk) 16:15, 3 August 2016 (UTC)

- Support (reopening an old discussion) I am surprised that the contemporary Wikidata:Property_proposal/age_of_candidacy was approved and this proposal was not. The argument by Lymantria against this proposal also applies to the proposal for age of candidacy. Note that the scope of age of candidacy (P2998) has been extended a bit since the proposal – it now also applies to positions and elections. Even though eligibility to vote in an election often depends on many things, the voting age is a universal and well-defined aspect relevant to almost any election. --C960657 (talk) 19:41, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- I think this deserves renewed consideration. See Wikidata:Property proposal/voting age (reproposed). --C960657 (talk) 17:09, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
