Yes I noticed that. I think the main thing to keep in mind is that there are certain rules of play here and one of them is not to edit Wikipedia based on Wikidata insights unless you have the AAT backing, so in this case, just pick one and go for it and make sure Commons reflects your choice. Organically over time then the Wikipedia projects will get involved in their own way. of we do what you suggest above, namely "make sure Wiki articles are mapped correctly (some cover both)" we are only going to contribute to the Wiipedia-Wikidata war that is currenly raging (and which you might not even be aware of). @Jane023: Oh I am aware of the war, at least peripherally. Thanks for your insights. I'm going to stop trying to make sense of anorak (Q1694472) and anorak (Q567688) - AAT has a clear distinction, but except as Inuit native dress the modern coats themselves sit on a spectrum of similar garments and we probably should not try to determine how speakers of various languages use the terms for everyday garments they see and wear.
As far as guimpe I'm going to do a bit more digging. EFV's DE equivalents for "wimple" Nonnenschleier, mittelalterliches Kopftuch could match with DE rise or guimpe. Perhaps I'll make rise a subclass of wimple and have done. It's not like the museum community uses the same level of specific terminology that (for example) historical re-enactors do, in either Germany or the UK. - PKM (talk) 19:44, 2 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help sort these items, their placement in classes, and their subclasses?
