This property is now defined for legal case (Q2334719) but it makes sense to use this property also for referencing to laws for the legal base, see Wikidata:Property proposal/legal base --Hannolans (talk) 11:04, 8 May 2017 (UTC)

Wrong value class constraint

law (Q7748) is not a good class for the values of this property as it refers to the academic discipline of law. A better option could be legislation (Q49371), but there is desperate need for clean-up in the class hierarchy there. Belteshassar (talk) 18:55, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
