Subclass

@Infovarius: Regarding [1] There is an issue on whether word formation (Q327358) should be subclass of (P279) linguistics (Q8162). I would say no. word formation (Q327358) is a process (Q3249551) with creation (Q11398090). linguistics (Q8162) is a type of academic discipline (Q11862829) that can study word formation (Q327358) (I have added that statement [2]). — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 10:27, 24 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Fnielsen: probably this is language-dependent and/or there is an interwiki-conflict. Because in ru/be/pl/... word formation (Q327358) is a branch of linguistics (Q8162) which studies derivation (Q728001). --Infovarius (talk) 20:47, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Also see interwiki-conflict template above. --Infovarius (talk) 20:48, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
I would say: word formation (Q327358) = derivation (Q728001) + compounding + loan of words + abbreviation + neologism. — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 21:52, 29 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Russian term explicitly exclude loan words... --Infovarius (talk) 15:15, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
