RFD

edit

Thanks for reporting all those duplicates, but, in the future, it would be helpful if you could say which items they've been merged to. Also, please remember to sign your posts. Thanks! — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 11:16, 8 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Merging items

edit

Hallo David1010,

For merging items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It has an option "Request deletion for extra items on RfD" to automatically place a request to delete the emptied page. This way of nominating makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

Strange edit on Q729563

edit

Hi,

I see that you changed the date of birth (P569) of Alexander Karpinsky (Q729563) (diff here : Special:Diff/458038858) from 7 January 1847 (Julian) to 26 December 1846 (Julian). The strange thing is that you didn't touch the reference given with the previous date, so now the date is linked to a reference that doesn't reference the date... What should we solve this? Is the reference wrong? Do you have an other reference to replace it? Isn't it a Julian-Gregorian calendar problem?

Request

Hello

Can you create en:Postal codes in Azerbaijan in Georgian Wikipedia? Can you also create the other listed articles above, which I actually requested as an I.P. user?

Unfortunately, because I live in Turkey under the Islamist dictatorship of Erdogan, where Wikipedia is blocked and banned along with thousands of other websites since 2017, it is off limits for us here. (If it wasn't, I would have sent my requests and communicate directly there, which people in freer societies are able to do.) Astonishingly, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons are not banned yet, which are our only means of communication. But they too will soon be banned. Sorry to bother you with this long paragraph. This is my final request from you for this year.

If not, can you at least forward them to Georgian Wikipedia, where users might be interested in creating them? I hope that an "Azerbaijan month" or an "Azerbaijan week", which won't occur any time soon, are not the only reasons for creating them. Please send a reply.

Yours sincerely, Sarvathi (talk) 13:59, 28 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
