Page NamesEdit

Hi Denny, I'm Rsrikanth05. I had asked you a question over IRC today, but before I could see your reply my internet connection developed a fault. I was just wondering if you could let me know whether Wikidata:समाचार is correct for the Hindi news page, or should I have had it as WD:News/hi? Cheers, --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 14:50, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

Guidance on sourcesEdit

Denny, you said at the Project Chat that you were willing to engage more in discussions if we asked you to do so. I think it would be interesting if you provided additional info on what sources will look like once they are fully functional. It is fairly fuzzy for most of us, and as a result, discussion are probably not as productive as they could be. Sidenote: I for one would be interested if you also gave your personal opinion on sourcing policy. Thanks. --Zolo (talk) 10:38, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Is this still open, or is it now clearer with the new rollout of the references? --Denny Vrandečić (WMDE) (talk) 09:35, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Yes, it is clearer now thanks. However, we still need to decide on some more definite guidelines if you feel like commenting on Wikidata talk:Sources--Zolo (talk) 10:16, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

changing of the nameEdit

Hello in wikipedia I have changed name I'm now Herodotus and I was Laurentleap I would like to also change on wikidata but I don't know how to do. Regards--Laurentleap (talk) 09:30, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

You have to take the request here: Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard (as far as I can tell). --Denny Vrandečić (WMDE) (talk) 09:34, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Statements Sources and Qualifiers in Property namespaceEdit

Hello, since the pages of properties are simialar to item pages, I ask you how difficult it would be to enable statements, sources and qualifiers also in the Property Namespace. One usecase would be to add claims with property contraints to it. These constraints would be more flexible. See also: Wikidata:Requests for comment/Place of the property documentation --Pyfisch (talk) 18:01, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

That would be not too hard. Currently, it is not very high on our priority list, due to Datatypes, Ranks, and Queries being higher, but yes, it is indeed a mid-term possibility. --Denny (talk) 14:24, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
