Bad ID numbers edit

Hello. You seem to have incorrect ID information for many movies and celebrities. For example, you are adding things as Rotten Tomatoes ID (P1258) that seem to be for IMDb ID (P345). These are all bad links:

Also, some of the German Wikipedia articles have the wrong Rotten Tomatoes ID (P1258) for movies. I have corrected many that duplicate other movies at Wikidata:Database reports/Constraint violations/P1258, but I can't easily catch others that may be wrong. Each of these were wrong for one film; I traced the errors back to German Wikipedia and corrected them:

It appears that each editor should check the ID on the correct website before trusting ID numbers from German Wikipedia. --Closeapple (talk) 08:00, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

That was only coping the id's to wikidata. Sorry for inconvenience. A script was running over the rottentomatoe links and the result was this list. Fixing all the entries will take a while. So next time I will do such steps in another order. Regards.--Färber (talk) 05:04, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

US Congress Bio identifier edit

Hi, I noticed that you did some work with the US Congress Bio identifier. I have created a list of wikidata items with that identifier that don't have German articles here. I don't know if the German wikipedia has something similar to en:Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Congress that might be interested in this list. --Bamyers99 (talk) 00:23, 15 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

  1. I processed the articles in this maintenance list, which contains pages where the the template Kongressbio is used, but where the ID is missing in wikidata.
  2. I don't know a special project about the U.S. Congress. There is only the project United States.
  3. I inserted your list to the talk page of the project. May be someone will use it.
Regards. --Färber (talk) 08:42, 15 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

P1283 edit

filmography (P1283) shouldn't be used for the films themselves. Please see the property talk page. Sjoerd de Bruin (talk) 11:26, 24 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Invitation to Wikidata user study edit

Dear Färber,
I am a researcher of the Web and Internet Science group of the University of Southampton.
Together with a group of other researchers from the same University, we are currently conducting a research aiming to discover how newcomers become full participants into the Wikidata community. We are interested in understanding how the usage of tools, the relationships with the community, and the knowledge and application of policy norms change from users' first approach to Wikidata to their full integration as fully active participants.
This study will take place as an interview, either by videotelephony, e.g. Skype, phone, or e-mail, according to the preference of the interviewees. The time required to answer all the questions will likely be about an hour. Further information can be found on the Research Project Page Becoming Wikidatians: evolution of participation in a collaborative structured knowledge base.
Any data collected will be treated in the strictest confidentiality, no personal information will be processed for the purpose of the research. The study, which has submission number 20117, has received ethical approval following the University of Southampton guidelines.
We aim at gathering about 20 participants, chosen among experienced Wikidata users who authored a large number of contributions.
Should you be interested in taking part or wish to receive further information, you can contact us by writing to the e-mail address ap1a14+wikidata_user_study@ecs.soton.ac.uk.
Thank you very much, your help will be much appreciated!

Discogs-Künstler-ID edit

Merci! --Gyanda (talk) 11:45, 5 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

ISNI edit

Maybe if you add VIAF and GND you could also add ISNI (Property:P213)? [5] 2.247.26.14 12:45, 16 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

There are many identifiers and I could not add all. Sorry. We can hope, that a bot comes and insert these data. --Färber (talk) 15:54, 16 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
ISNI is the most used in Wikidata after VIAF and based on an ISO standard, ISO 27729. Thousands of ISNI exist but have not been added to WD for years. Youtube became an ISNI Registration Agency in January 2018, http://www.isni.org/content/youtube-adopts-isni-id-artists-songwriters, i.e. the coverage of persons by ISNI will grow. 2.247.26.14 19:14, 16 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Kunstfehler edit

Weißt du noch, wie es dazu kam? Ist dort vielleicht noch mehr falsch? Vergleiche mit de:Tatort: Kunstfehler. --Jobu0101 (talk) 23:46, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

--Jobu0101 (talk) 06:47, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
