Please merge instead of blanking edit

Thank you for your work in maintaining Wikidata. I have a small suggestion to improve your future work. If you notice that two items are duplicates, please merge them instead of blanking one of them as you did with the page Q75384292. External sites use Wikidata identifiers, so it is important that we preserve the chain of references. We do this by making one item a redirect for the other. In particular, item ids are intended to be a permanent identifier, so we never reuse them for another concept. See Help:Merge for more information on how to merge items, and consider installing the Merge Gadget. Thanks! Bovlb (talk) 23:10, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Austrian Empire (1804–1867), Austria-Hungary (1867–1918) edit

Please do not convert an existing item to your own idea. If you need an item about diplomacy in the Austrian Empire, create one. Thanks! Palotabarát (talk) 15:14, 2 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Palotabarát, what I'm trying to show is that the internuntius of Austria in Istambul existed only until 1866-1867 and did not enjoy the rank of an ambassador. In the most positive case it will be an Austro-Hungarian diplomatic representative for only one year 1867. What do you think about it? Mdeazpeitia (talk) 15:19, 2 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I think a new element needs to be created that spans the interval up to 1867. Palotabarát (talk) 15:34, 2 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
You mean an element called “Internuntius (Austria-Hungary)”?!! Mdeazpeitia (talk) 15:50, 2 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
No. I know there were no more internunci in the Austrian Hungarian Monarchy, the monarchy had already sent ambassadors. The internuncius is a diplomatic rank, used primarily in the Middle Ages.
I do not know who were internuncius in the Austrian Empire. Can you show some people on Wikidata who were internuncius? Palotabarát (talk) 16:17, 2 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Q55845487, for example! Mdeazpeitia (talk) 17:02, 2 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I leave you the references from the Hof- und Staatshandbuch (the official Austrian yearbook):

We are talking about two things.
The item you started to improve was made for the diplomats of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. The Austro-Hungarian Monarchy was established in 1867. All the examples you have listed here are from before 1867. So item ambassador of Austria-Hungary to the Ottoman Empire (Q106681853) cannot be used for this. Therefore, I suggested that you create a new element that could be used for diplomats between the Austrian Empire (Habsburg Empire, etc.) and the Ottoman Empire. OK? Palotabarát (talk) 18:21, 2 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Oh! I see many thanks, I will then use only Austrian Empire. Thanks and best regards!!! Mdeazpeitia (talk) 20:50, 2 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Descripciones edit

Hello, I'm Madamebiblio. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent description edits didn't meet the Wikidata description guidelines. Descriptions should appear as though they were in the middle of a sentence, typically start with a lowercase letter, and written from a neutral point of view. For example, "pop singer" would be a better description than "He is the best pop singer." If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks!  Madamebiblio (talk) 17:14, 11 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, @Madamebiblio. I will check the guidelines to follow them more closely. Sorry because till now I thought they were ok.
Best regards, Mdeazpeitia (talk) 17:20, 11 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Treaty of Paris of 10 June 1817 edit

Hi, Mdeazpeitia: on 16 October 2020 you created a Wikidata item entitled "Treaty of Paris (1817)" (Q100420636), although the imprecisely named item "Treaty of Paris" (Q3536856) already existed on exactly the same historical occurence. The existence of two items on the same topic makes interwiki links between entries in the various languages impossible, and should be remedied by merging the two items. Since I don't know how to do it, and I'm not very familiar with Wikidata, I was wondering if maybe you would like to. Sorry for the cheek Jeanambr (talk) 22:45, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
