Proposed properties

Hi Multichill, I have added some proposed properties and would like your opinion about those if possible:

--Hannolans (talk) 20:01, 16 April 2017 (UTC)

@Hannolans: heb op een aantal een reactie achtergelaten en de meeste zijn zo te zien nu aangemaakt. Multichill (talk) 19:40, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
--Hannolans (talk) 20:53, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
--Hannolans (talk) 11:25, 8 May 2017 (UTC)

Missing TV episodes

Hey Multichill, I wrote a query for missing IMDb Ids (and items) by count grouped by series: [1] You can see, that there are many series like JAG (Q754197) with a lot of episodes, that haven't even an item. Queryzo (talk) 13:39, 22 April 2017 (UTC)

And The Bill (Q929589) would be a nice example for creating episode items per bot. Queryzo (talk) 13:43, 22 April 2017 (UTC)

Hi Queryzo, I didn't know about number of episodes (P1113)! That sure is a useful property in this context. On my userpage I have this query: Number of items without IMDb ID (P345) grouped by series. We should probably reduce that list to prevent duplicates.
I slightly changed your query ([2]).
We should probably clean up this list too:[3]
JAG sure is a good one to start from scratch. Multichill (talk) 14:30, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
FYI I created a new set of episodes, see Wikidata:WikiProject Movies/lists/episodes of Casualty. Queryzo (talk) 21:51, 30 April 2017 (UTC)
Are you going to create an item for an episode in each dubbed language as well?
--- Jura 01:54, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
No, why I should do that? Queryzo (talk) 05:40, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
That's the way it's being done for books and this is what the property for deletion request you supported aims to achieve for other works (such as audio-visual ones) as well.
--- Jura 04:05, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
Can you give an example? Queryzo (talk) 05:33, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
Sample: Partings would have additional items for "Ganz oder gar nicht" and "Separazioni" and "Le Départ de Logan": each one with a title statement and a language statement.
--- Jura 11:07, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
Yes but why we should do that? One item with different labels and one (original) title (P1476) should be fine. Queryzo (talk) 14:21, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
It's not something I support, but I think the idea is that the property "original language of work" could be deleted and only "language of work" be used. What is the original would be determined by the item, not the property. Now one could just add a statement for each available language with "language of work" and "original language of work" tells us what is the original one.

Anatoly Belkin (Q4082050) and Anatoly Belkin (Q4082045)

I guess you've mixed-up those two person - first one is mathematician, later - photograph. I've explicitly specify RKDartists ID (P650) for the last one --Ghuron (talk) 14:16, 10 May 2017 (UTC)

@Ghuron: I doubt that, I never edited either of these items. Looks like User:Gymel mixed it up. Multichill (talk) 14:20, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
Oh and User:Hannolans mixed it up again after it was fixed. In these case I usually add different from (P1889) to prevent more mistakes. Multichill (talk) 14:25, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
@Multichill: sorry for that, I thought BotMultichillT is your creature   (see [4]) --Ghuron (talk) 17:14, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
@Ghuron: that runs completely autonomous and is triggered by someone adding the identifier, which in this case was wrong. Generally when this happens restore to the version before someone added the wrong identifiers. Are bot edits are based on the wrong source so should be undone. Multichill (talk) 18:46, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
@Multichill: cool, thanks for explanation and for different from (P1889) - didn't know that trick   --Ghuron (talk) 03:34, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

NoclaimsBot++

Hi Multichill. Could you add to NoclaimsBot the function to add also descriptions to category & template items where it adds P31=category/template? In MediaWiki:Gadget-autoEdit.js you can find an extended dictionary of standard descriptions which you can use. If the bot is on cron, it will be very useful. Just see here what happens sometimes, and this is what I have in my watchlist now; about this I wrote on WD:Bot talk, and here is a reply where bot-op says that he is not able yet to modify the code, but his bot just completes the gaps left after users and/or other bots, and he has nothing against if other bot(s) will do this task properly. If you'll get this task for NoclaimsBot, everyone will be happy :) So? --XXN, 20:38, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

Defining a label

Hello, although I have experience with other Wikimedia projects, I have not found any guidance on how to define a label. I want the label Q18549200 to be defined "Victor Vlad" (see at commons Creator:Victor Vlad). Can you tell me a page explaining how to do it, or defining a label requires admin rights? Thank you, --Turbojet (talk) 07:13, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

Julius Arthur Thiele

Many thanks. But I think, it was an duplicate of another existing Wikidata file for the same Commons category. --Szczebrzeszynski (talk) 03:55, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
