Duplicated accession numbers

Hi, currently going binge-editing paintings items, I see that two Met objects had accession number 38.34 ([1] and [2]), which apparently prompted your bot to add a wrong link to Notre Dame, Paris (Q19923361). Zolo (talk) 19:40, 11 January 2018 (UTC)

That's weird. No two objects are supposed to have the same accession number. @Pharos: can you look into this? Multichill (talk) 17:14, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
FYI: en:User talk:Pharos#Duplicated MET accession numbers. Multichill (talk) 12:03, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for pointing this out, I've conveyed this issue to the museum's collections people.--Pharos (talk) 22:27, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
@Zolo: The accession numbers are actually correct - in the museum's long history, some departments, particularly Drawings and Prints (and Photographs), assigned numbers independently for decades, and so those numbers will be unique to that department, but not to the museum. This is the benefit of using The Met object ID (P3634)--Pharos (talk) 22:11, 27 February 2018 (UTC)
@Pharos: so to be correct we should use the department for the collection? Pff, that's a big overhaul to do. Any idea of the number of collisions (same inventory number used more than once)? Multichill (talk) 16:42, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
@Multichill: I think it's just Drawings and Prints that did this, and then Photographs, which was later split off from Drawings and Prints. Would it be possible to just disable the constraint violation for Drawings and Prints, without considering it a separate collection, which seems strange? Or should we artificially prepend something to the accession numbers for that department, which also seems strange. I don't think it's a huge number of duplicated numbers, but I can check.--Pharos (talk) 16:51, 5 March 2018 (UTC)

Old DACS ids

Hi! I see that yesterday on Antje Majewski (Q50321250) (history), you added two DACS ID (former) (P4663) values -- a new one, with a hash format: e4c876df-990e-e511-b4e9-000c29e811b2 and an old one, with a numerical format: 36079

The old ones have now been retired and no longer work. Old values that existed in Wikidata have now been mapped to new ones, and (I thought) the catalogue for the old values on Mix'n'Match had now been retired.

In fact, I see it wasn't MnM you were using to match the values, as looking at the search there for this artist, there's only one DACS value and it's not yet updated.

I'm guessing you must have a private off-wiki download or spreadsheet somewhere. So, just to let you know, if you have a column or a field for old all-numeric style DACS values, that can now be removed. Thanks for all the rest of the good matching, though! Best, Jheald (talk) 10:23, 4 March 2018 (UTC)

(BTW, for what it's worth, none of the artist pages at DACS (new IDs included) seem to be working this morning) Jheald (talk) 10:36, 4 March 2018 (UTC)

@Jheald: I look at the live database (s51434__mixnmatch_p @ tools-db) for https://tools.wmflabs.org/multichill/painters/index.php?collection=Q913672 . Looks like the catalog table got an active field. I added that to the query and now the old DACS stuff (and some other catalogs) dropped out of the suggestions. If you want to help create these missing persons, Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Top collections missing creator contains a convenient overview. Bot acting up???

Hey Multichill, is your bot acting up? You may wanna tone it down a little since it seems to be making too many confusing edits. Ta, Til Til Eulenspiegel (talk) 20:06, 11 March 2018 (UTC)

@Til Eulenspiegel: that comment was not very useful. I have no clue what you're rambling about. Multichill (talk) 23:20, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
If you're gonna be so disrespectful, nor shall you hear further from me while I take this one here upstairs. Just sit still right there, now. Til Eulenspiegel (talk) 23:41, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
It's not very helpful if you don't include examples, period. If this is your way of communicating, good luck. Sjoerd de Bruin (talk) 08:31, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
It's about this one, probably. --Edgars2007 (talk) 09:47, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
Bingo, you got it! Please consider this over, I was unable to pinpoint it, all sussed, thanks again! Roll 'em! Til Eulenspiegel (talk) 12:56, 12 March 2018 (UTC)

Boijmans high images for Commons

I have added Commons compatible image available at URL (P4765) to the paintings of Boijmans for works in PD. See for exampl The foolish young man (Q19928425). Will your bot automatically transfer them to Commons? Note that not all paintings have a creation date added in wikidata at the moment. --Hannolans (talk) 22:25, 12 March 2018 (UTC)

@Hannolans: Wat leuk!
--Hannolans (talk) 22:49, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
--Hannolans (talk) 08:34, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

Q49182576 from Yale University Art Gallery upload

I just stumbled upon two issues with Self-Portrait as Icarus with Daedalus (Q49182576) – just in case it helps you to find bugs: 1) The last character of the title got lost, and 2) it was created as a duplicate which should not have happened. Cheers, --Marsupium (talk) 04:02, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for the report:
  1. Had a mistake with a regex, fixed most of them, but seem to have missed this one
  2. The painting wasn't in the collection see [3]
