Wikidata is a free knowledge base that you can edit! It can be read and edited by humans and machines alike and you can go to any item page now and add to this ever-growing database!

Need some help getting started? Here are some pages you can familiarize yourself with:

Wiki Loves Classics

Hi! Excuse for writing in English, but my written French needs revising. I've just noticed your splendid work at fr:Projet:MagnaGreciaOpenData and I really want to thank you for what you are doing about ancient Greece on Wikimedia projects! I study Classics at Pisa University and I've founded it:Progetto:Antica Grecia and Wikidata:WikiProject Ancient Greece, more recently I've cofounded meta:WikiClassics User Group (you can join us!) and I'm now organizing with Alexmar983 the photo contest Commons:Wiki Loves Classics 2019 (at the moment we are looking for antiquity-related photos in Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 categories, then we will evaluate the photos in order to award some prizes). it's not a lot of workload. Around November-December once the sorting is completed we will start the evaluation, and I expect three sessions of few hours to complete it. ok so what about putting your name in the jury and contacting you at the last step, the so-called third round when we order the best images. Such round can take only 20 minutes, followed by some suggestion by mail about how to read the average vote and adjust the ranking. For example if we decide to give a prize for "best image of inscription" i will write which is the most voted image of an inscription in the ranking and ask to validate the choice an winner in such category. it's not a complicated passage. Do you accept? If at the beginning of the third round you are not available, I will remove simply remove your name as if you were never there.
