Thank you! By the way, shouldn't this template be subst:ed? The template's original page Template:Welcome/lang doesn't say anything. But Template:Welcome says so. ···Vanischenu「mc|Talk」 18:18, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Apparently this is a substituted version.--Bill william compton (talk) 19:05, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Oops! My foolishness. Never thought that anyone would create a template that will make it transclude when substituted!!Vanischenu「mc|Talk」 18:22, 25 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
BTW, do you remember me? :) ···Vanischenu「mc|Talk」 18:25, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, from reference desk. --Bill william compton (talk) 19:05, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Merging items

edit

Hallo Vanischenu,

For merging items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It has an option "Request deletion for extra items on RfD" to automatically place a request to delete the emptied page. This way of nominating makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

With regards, -      - (Cycn/talk) 09:38, 8 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I will use it in future cases. RegardsVanischenu「mc|Talk」 09:47, 8 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hindustani lexemes

edit

Hi there! You may be pleased to learn that there are quite a few Hindustani lexemes already present, many of which have been expanded with forms per what the English Wiktionary provides. (You need not worry about adding Arabic-script spelling variants; I don't mind trying to find those.) Mahir256 (talk) 13:08, 19 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ok, thanks Vis M (talk) 17:26, 23 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate lexemes

edit

https://w.wiki/3ZsK is a list of Malayalam lexemes with the same lemma and senses linking to the same item. If each pair in the list refers to the same lexeme, please consider merging them. Mahir256 (talk) 20:46, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

And https://w.wiki/3ZsS is a similar list including pairs where one or both of the lexemes in the pair lacks a sense. You and @Jsamwrites: have a lot of cleanup to do, and I insist you do that before creating any more lexemes. Mahir256 (talk) 20:47, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Mahir256: Ok, I will do. Actually they were created when the lexeme-forms page crashed and same input got resubmitted. The lexeme-forms tool does not immediately detect newly created lexeme entries and so duplicates got created. This will not happen again, and I will clean these up. No issue. Thanks. "I insist that you do that before creating any more lexemes." Mahir256 (talk) 04:52, 1 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Mahir256: It is easy to clean up, I have already made a sorted list of all the duplicates that I created. Only issue is that the "bulk merging" is not functional right now with quick statements. And I have already asked at [1]. I am waiting for a response from them. Vis M (talk) 04:57, 1 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
The new lexemes I create do not have any duplication and are necessary for completing the coverage of Malayalam nouns in Wikidata. Duplication happened because of an error in resubmitting same input after the tool/page crashed. And it was easy to sort out duplicates by checking the numerical difference between lexeme ids. Btw, no errors were added, just that entries got duplicated. Vis M (talk) 05:01, 1 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

  Done. 0 duplicates now. Vis M (talk) 04:06, 4 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
