Welcome to Wikidata:Incubator sister project portal! The Incubator is unlike all other Wikimedia Foundation projects in two senses:
- unlike most projects, it hosts multilingual content in a central wiki but that content is separated by folders in the directory of the site and
- it does not seek to create a free-standing project of its own but simply to start work on editions of other projects (e.g. Wikipedias in new languages)—once a project is deemed sufficiently mature, it is closed on Incubator and exported to its own domain. There has been discussion of hosting wikis which are likely to remain small but there is no unified policy on this yet.
Info Pages (Example:Wp/syl) of active Incubator projects can be linked with Wikimedia Incubator URL (P9748) from the language item. Sample statement: Q2044560#P9748 at Q2044560 (Sylheti).
A similar multilingual situation exists with Wikidata:Wikisource with the "oldwikisource". You can select Multilingual Wikisource (Sources) from Multilingual sites at the bottom.
