Motivation
After FFR player ID (P3644), this would provide a link to all rugby sevens men's player playing for French national team, as the ID has not the same url structure than rugby union men's ID. The two examples above also have a rugby union ID, but the sevens ID gives different stats. - Daxipedia - 達克斯百科 (talk) 23:39, 17 February 2018 (UTC) - Daxipedia - 達克斯百科 (talk) 11:05, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

- Comment Hi Daxipedia, I am wondering why you have indicated
|number of ids=1
? Clearly the source contains more than just one id, so this must be a misunderstanding: I am wondering what is unclear about this parameter. Just let me know how you understood it, so that I can improve its description. − Pintoch (talk) 12:09, 19 February 2018 (UTC)- Hi Pintoch : Indeed, maybe I misunderstood it : I see it as the number of IDs than could be linked to one Wikidata item. For example here, the item Vakatawa has only one FFR Sevens player ID linked : VAKATAWA-Virimi (e.g. for an other property, two IDs could be linked to an item). «number of ids» seems to be a new parameter that wasn't in my latest proposal, so sorry if I interpreted it wrong. Should it be something like multiple, as there is as many existing IDs as there is existing players ? - Daxipedia - 達克斯百科 (talk) 21:58, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
- Oh I see! Thanks for the explanation. The idea behind this parameter is to keep track of the total number of different ids that exist in the source, which should be an upper bound on the total number of uses of this property across many items. The French translation for this parameter is currently like this:
|number of ids = <!-- pour les identifiants, nombre d'IDs disponibles dans la source -->
- If you can think of any better formulation that would make the meaning of this parameter cleaner, just let me know and I will update it. − Pintoch (talk) 10:11, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
- Seems to be good for me. Thanks for the explanation ! - Daxipedia - 達克斯百科 (talk) 20:28, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
