- Motivation
This property could be used to indicate the IPv4 ranges owned by an organization. This proposal uses the CIDR notation but we could also consider other syntaxes such as "163.1.0.0 - 163.1.255.255" or "163.1.0.0 / 255.255.0.0".
I am not aware of any dataset that would be appropriately licensed for import into Wikidata, but there are plenty of websites where this information is available for manual import. For instance: https://myip.ms/view/ip_owners/417579/Oxford_University.html
If this proposal is accepted, I'll propose the IPv6 version of this property. − Pintoch (talk) 15:05, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

- Support if Classless Inter-Domain Routing (Q646589) notation is used. Oppose if a string denoting a range of IP addresses is used. @Pintoch:, could you consider changing to Classless Inter-Domain Routing (Q646589) notation? Dhx1 (talk) 15:08, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
