Motivation

We do already have OlimpBase Chess Olympiad player ID (P3940) for the (Open) Chess Olympiad for a while now. Unfortunately, the URLs of that database are designed a bit complicated, which makes it impossible to link to players at the Women’s Chess Olympiad (mind the extra “w” for the latter in the formatter URL). The external database does have information about other competitions, which are not relevant for Wikidata at this point (i.e. besides Open and Women’s Chess Olympiad, there will be no other identifiers for that page).

At Property talk:P3940 we have discussed a couple of escape paths for that problem, and found that the best would be to have a separate property for the Women’s Chess Olympiad. Broken identifiers from the P3940 property will be repaired, if this property is created.
