Motivation

This proposal is based on the previous one by @GZWDer: Wikidata:Property proposal/Spotify user ID.

The existence of all the other Spotify identifiers makes it strange for Wikidata not to acknowledge the existence of Spotify user profiles. The fact that many relevant and/or notable organizations, companies and record labels have verified accounts there should be one advantage to consider. Many labels, publishers, agencies and distributors use public playlists to promote their associated artists.

Another interesting thing is that Spotify seems to sort of link the artist profile to the personal user profile through the "Artist Playlists", if you go to that section's playlists of George Clanton, for instance, it shows that the user who owns 2 of them is clantogw while the other 2 were created by Spotify. –Guttitto (talk) 01:13, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
