Motivation edit
I noticed there hasn't been any property to describe a person's diet/ food requirements, I hope to initiate a discussion as I'm not sure about the best way to tackle this problem, as there's a thin line between the lifestyles, diets, allergies, foods, religious requirements. Few thoughts: Novak Djokovic (Q5812) medical condition (P1050): celiac disease (Q11088) refers to the disease but not the diet. As well as a Kosher/Halal diet may be independent, but usually corresponding to a person's religious beliefs Germartin1 (talk) 19:51, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
Discussion edit
- We already have lifestyle (P1576).--GZWDer (talk) 20:52, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- Support. I guess a dedicated subproperty is OK. Thierry Caro (talk) 16:59, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. About half of current lifestyle (P1576) uses are diets, and I don't see any reason to split these off. --Yair rand (talk) 19:19, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose: P1576 would suffice; I see no reason for spliting it. Nomen ad hoc (talk) 20:39, 19 February 2020 (UTC).
- I didn't know about the lifestyle property, I'll withdraw the proposal Germartin1 (talk) 21:33, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
