- Motivation
- Notified participants of WikiProject Parenthood
Could provide an simple way to retrieve these. Use of items in P31/P279 seems sub-optimal or ambigious: Samples at Special:WhatLinksHere/Q24882651. Items for various ways of calculating it need to be made.

- Discussion
- @Jura1: Comment Is this property for articles in the first three groups here only?Thank you David (talk) 07:03, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
- @ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل 2: ideally any item on Wikidata:WikiProject Parenthood/lists/kinship types, but depending on criterion used (P1013) it might not be possible for each.

- Comment is there a clear criterion for describing the number of times "removed" two people are? first cousin once removed descending (Q19901611) for example describes a cousin 1 time removed. We don't seem to have many wikidata relationships describing more distant relations of that sort, but I've seen interesting statements online about people related as second cousins 4 times removed, and that sort of thing. I'm wondering if maybe this (or a related property) would work better as a qualifier on a relationship statement between two people, rather than as a standalone statement on kinship items. - There are different ways of doing it. Ideally, each mode would already have its item anyways. This property would allow to add the result to specific kinship types. On items for people, personally, I prefer we use P22/P24/P40 as much as possible and avoid adding specific numbers there.

- @Jura1: Currently, I'm not clear about how this property will be useful. Can you give examples of how you plan to use the stored information? ChristianKl (talk) 12:58, 4 November 2017 (UTC)
- Wikidata:WikiProject Parenthood/lists/kinship types could gain in clarity by including them.
