How to translate the whole content of Wikidata:WikiProject Movies/Tabs? For now, "new items", "maintenance reports", "new films", "reference lists" and "infobox" do not appear in French. Thanks in advance for any help. Pamputt (talk) 08:22, 30 July 2016 (UTC)

We tried to do it with the translation extension, but somehow that doesn't work well with the translation of the pages themselves. Other possibilities you could try:
  • use {{TranslateThis}}
  • have the terms added to translatewiki (so int: can be used)
  • use a the label of an item

@Jura1: To translate a template with the translation extension, the standard way is to create a subpage like Wikidata:WikiProject Movies/Tabs/text, to make it translatable, and to include it in the main template page with {{TNT}}.
as an alternative to include them in translatewiki (don't know how easy it is), I created a number of reusable templates like Template:Int Documentation that are translated in the code of the template through {{TranslateThis}}. author  TomT0m / talk page 09:00, 31 July 2016 (UTC)
So does it mean that we should create Wikidata:WikiProject Movies/Tabs/text that contains all the text content within in order to make thing properly? Pamputt (talk) 15:13, 31 July 2016 (UTC)
Yep. author  TomT0m / talk page 20:11, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
@TomT0m, Jura1: I did the required change and now it works perfectly. Just need to translate into other languages now. Pamputt (talk) 21:16, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
  • I didn't mention that approach as I'm not sure if it's ideal for this. Besides, the template is somewhat broken. The current tab should be highlighted.
If you think it's worth the time and it can't be found somewhere else, maybe a module that builds the tabs for any project would be interesting.

What bothers you ? author  TomT0m / talk page 20:11, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
The ifeq part doesn't work.

Probably not unsolvable. author  TomT0m / talk page 09:45, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
It works finally. Now we can have a lengthy discussion about the appropriate color ;) ..
If someone is interested and wants to fix the other /Tab subpages: it seems that the nowiki enclosed "#" stopped working at some point. Named colors can be used instead. Here Wikidata:WikiProject Movies/Tabs needed to pass on the parameter value as well.

Hello, does soemone know why some translate tags are present in the Wikidata:Wikiversity page? Pamputt (talk) 18:34, 1 August 2016 (UTC)

Fixed. That was my fault, I forgot to transclude the subpage properly. Matěj Suchánek (talk) 18:46, 1 August 2016 (UTC)

Undo translation of Wikidata:Request a query

Could someone undo it? I think only admins can do that.

Let's repeat it three times: "talk page headers can't be translated by marking a talk page for translation."

I think I figured it out .. Wikidata:Request a query/Header/en could be made into something using the extension. fr moved to Wikidata:Request a query/Header/fr.
