Despite trying to do so a number of ways. Please add these to the list if you can:

Done via api.php?action=edit&appendtext= - maybe this page should be split up? --Krenair (talkcontribs) 23:22, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Ivan A. Krestinin: Is it okay for you when we split this page into a couple of subpages, e.g. Wikidata:Do not merge/1, Wikidata:Do not merge/2 etc. ? --Pasleim (talk) 13:29, 24 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes, of course. I will sync my bot code after your changes. — Ivan A. Krestinin (talk) 14:01, 24 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Ivan A. Krestinin, Marcol-it, FakirNL, Lymantria, Krenair, Rigadoun: The split is fulfilled. Please use now Wikidata:Do not merge/3 to add new merge candiadates. --Pasleim (talk) 20:31, 1 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Ivan A. Krestinin, Pasleim: Please is it possible to add Do not merge/4? 3 is becoming too big thanks --Rippitippi (talk) 02:34, 16 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
My bot reads all pages with "Wikidata:Do not merge/" prefix. So Wikidata:Do not merge/4 is OK. — Ivan A. Krestinin (talk) 05:59, 16 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Sorting the pages edit

@Pasleim:@Ivan A. Krestinin:, because there are so many items on the whitelist, is it an option to sort the pages by number for example? Then it will be easier to make sure that a new item wasn't already on the list. Or is a bot updating the list and keeps the duplicates out of it? Q.Zanden questions? 21:47, 23 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Duplicates in the list is not really a problem. I can write a bot which removes duplicates or does some sorting but users can always add new items to the end of the list. --Pasleim (talk) 22:52, 23 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Why is there no property? edit

Why is there no property includes these items instead of dramatically large menus? Thank you. --ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل 2 (talk) 12:11, 22 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

There is, it's different from (P1889) plus qualifier criterion used (P1013). Arlo Barnes (talk) 14:30, 31 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Controlling old DNM pages edit

As all wiki's are open to anybody and still growing, how about controlling DNM/1 again? My suggestion is to keep the pages at max 5000 items, then starting a new page. When page DNM/9 is full, we start DNM/1 over by clearing the page first, and then posting the new false positives there. As wikidata and all the other wikis are growing, this is almost an automatical solution to keep all pages with duplicates up to date as it is always possible that pages will be renamed. @Pasleim, Ivan A. Krestinin: what about it? Q.Zanden questions? 23:45, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

My bot reads all pages with "Wikidata:Do not merge/" prefix. Any rename, move, split are OK for my bot if its are done inside this subnamespace. — Ivan A. Krestinin (talk) 20:35, 21 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Ivan A. Krestinin: But do you think it is effective (or useful) to control the old whitelists again? Q.Zanden questions? 23:36, 21 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
PS. Can your bot handle with different sections, like === 1-1000 ===? Q.Zanden questions? 23:40, 21 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Wikidata:Do not merge/10 created edit

@Ivan A. Krestinin, Pasleim: I've created Wikidata:Do not merge/10 as #9 was too large to add new entries, but #10 doesn't appear in the correct order in the list at Wikidata:Do not merge; instead it's between #1 and #2. May I go ahead and change all the single-digit figures to 01, 02, 03, etc.? Ham II (talk) 07:49, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Ivan A. Krestinin: Do you mean like: [WD:DNM/enwiki-nlwiki], [WD:DNM/ptwiki-slwiki], [WD:DNM/P1889], etc? If you mean to put on all the items claims as different from (P1889), I am not very sure about it, because it gives only a notice, but users can still remove the claim and merge them anyway. Q.Zanden questions? 15:26, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Ham II: Why do you think /9 was too big? Have a look at /1 and /3 for example, both almost 10k items. If we only allow a max of 2000 items on each page, the list would go to /100 maybe... Q.Zanden questions? 15:28, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
@QZanden: If I try copying and pasting new items to /9 it slows my computer down so much that clicking on the "Publish changes" button has no effect. Ham II (talk) 15:35, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
@QZanden: I mean add different from (P1889) to every item listed on WD:DNM pages. The claim removing is deliberate action. WD:DNM lists are needed to protect from casual merge. — Ivan A. Krestinin (talk) 20:16, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Ham II: For me, it loads perfectly, maybe a bit slow, but still faster than /3. Maybe you should buy a faster computer, but that's up to you...
@Ivan A. Krestinin: How about this? Also a way to query the items that have these claims. By the way, I'm trying to clean the first DNM at User:QZanden/DNM/1 where I try to do sometimes a bunch of hundred. Feel free to help. Also I'm considering to break the pages with subheaders every 1000 to avoid things like happened with Ham II. Maybe we can create a template that says on which page new ones have to be put on, and which page is currently under review. Maybe I'll take some time on thursday to create a draft. Q.Zanden questions? 22:12, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
I very much like the idea of a subheader for every 1000 pages. Ham II (talk) 23:35, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Ivan A. Krestinin But I must say, as I controlled the first 500 of DNM/1 I came across a bunch of items that has been listed as not to merge, but were merged anyway (correctly). So the different from (P1889) is not always correct.
KrBot reads both these pages and different from (P1889) now. So we can move these pages to different from (P1889) as the next step. — Ivan A. Krestinin (talk) 08:39, 24 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
