Padawan/Master relations

edit

How should we add info about who trained Jedi as padawans (i.e. Yoda/Luke Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi)? Is there an existing property that could be used or would we have to propose one? --AmaryllisGardener talk 21:31, 9 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

student (P802) and student of (P1066) sound good. Perhaps there’s even a qualifier property to specify the exact relationship… —DSGalaktos (talk) 21:42, 9 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
I looked for those but I couldn't find them, thanks! --AmaryllisGardener talk 21:46, 9 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

EU split

edit

So which from narrative universe (P1080) should we use? Star Wars universe (Q19786052) and Star Wars Legends (Q3551295) for characters that appear in both, and Star Wars Legends (Q3551295) only for characters from what’s now called Legends?

And what if the item is from both universes, but a statement (e. g. Princess Leia (Q51797)child (P40)Anakin Solo (Q2069214)) is only true in one of them? Is there a good qualifier for that? —DSGalaktos (talk) 21:39, 9 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

What about for Princess Leia (Q51797)child (P40)Anakin Solo (Q2069214) we have a qualifier from narrative universe (P1080) = Star Wars Legends (Q3551295)? Would that be a possible solution? --AmaryllisGardener talk 21:46, 9 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good. —DSGalaktos (talk) 21:48, 9 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi! IMO: We need a Babel template (“This user is a member of WikiProject Star Wars”, like Template:User music), and for that, we need a logo. I created File:Wikidata Lightsaber 1.svg as a first draft; WDYT? —DSGalaktos (talk) 22:15, 14 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, and so I've created Template:User Star Wars, which uses your draft logo file. --AmaryllisGardener talk 20:38, 15 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! Though I’ve now noticed it’s missing the name of the WikiProject… I’ll fix that later —DSGalaktos (talk) 20:43, 15 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Done in some form —DSGalaktos (talk) 21:20, 15 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Scission

edit

I worked with fictional entities without P31 when I discovered Q3191285. Seems to me like three different subjects but I don't understand all languages so I thought I could ask. Could you verify? And add P31 or P279 with fictional spacecraft (Q14637321) as value. Thank you. --Harmonia Amanda (talk) 09:51, 25 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

I agree, seems to be three different things: eswiki describes the Theta-class T-2c shuttle, itwiki the Moldy Crow, and nlwiki the C-9979 landing craft. Don’t have the time to fix it right now, I’ll do it this evening if no one beats me to it. —Galaktos (talk) 13:08, 25 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
  Done, split up into Theta-class T-2c shuttle (Q20871999), Moldy Crow (Q20872003), C-9979 landing craft (Q20872005). —Galaktos (talk) 21:51, 25 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
