Not clear enough
editPlease make it clear if this statement is related to the chemical structure (e.g. stereochemical picture). It is not crystal at all! The shape of a crytal is a physical property! Jzana (talk) 16:04, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
Relaxed instance of constraint
editThere are lots of database violations related to items that cover a class of molecular entities and use this property. I think those usages are legitimate; often a single image can in fact adequately describe the structure of a class of compounds by using placeholders (such as "R" for a side chain). I changed it to "instance or subclass of". There's a list of exceptions, which could possibly be removed with this change. 73.202.12.249 19:05, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
- Everything was correct. Classes and groups of compounds are covered by group or class of chemical substances (Q17339814) in this constraint. Every group and class of compounds should have instance of (P31)group or class of chemical substances (Q17339814) or its subclass, usually instance of (P31)structural class of chemical entities (Q47154513), instance of (P31)group of stereoisomers (Q59199015) or similar.
