Qualifier edit

In the description it is written that this property should be used as qualifier, however, the given examples use it in a different way. Please clarify. --Pasleim (talk) 11:00, 26 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Pasleim: I have removed the use as qualifier since there are sometimes index pages that do not have a single scan file, but a collection of images.--Micru (talk) 14:57, 26 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Agree! Note, there are some cases with more than one index-page for one item, but those cases are few. -- Innocent bystander (talk) 18:23, 28 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Format constraint edit

Hi @Sergey kudryavtsev, Ernest-Mtl, Aubrey, Billinghurst, Bodhisattwa, Samwilson:

I tried to add a format constraint but I was too narrow as I noticed that some link are not exactly correct : http instead of https or shortlink https://bn.wikisource.org/s/cbv instead of full link নির্ঘণ্ট:শেষ লেখা-রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর.djvu (or https://en.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=Index:Autobiography_(1874).djvu instead of https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Index:Autobiography_(1874).djvu ). Should we accept these functional but not-exactly-correct links?

Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 22:06, 30 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

The purpose is to fix errors, so I would prefer we just repair http: usage, rather leave them. Re short link, I don't have a formed opinion as we don't have it at our wiki.  — billinghurst sDrewth 22:13, 30 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Why is this not an interwiki link edit

Why does this field need to be a URL, instead of an interwiki link? Beleg Tâl (talk) 16:08, 31 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Beleg Tâl: Because each edition's Wikidata item should already have a sitelink to a mainspace page. This property is so we can also locate the Index page. It's a bit like glossary entry at Wikipedia URL (P5178) I guess. —Sam Wilson 23:53, 10 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
