Founder and teacher of Burauen Elementary School, Leyte; Principal of Leyte High School, Division Superintendent of School, Tacloban, Leyte; Principal, Philippine School of Arts and Trades, Manila; Superintendent of Schools, City of Manila; Second Assistant Director of Education and Director of Education and Regent of the University of the Philippines, 1916–1919. Philippine Education Agent in the United States and supervised the education of several hundred pensionados in the U.S. Universities, 1920–1924. Married to Alice Hollister, a teacher from Lake Linden Michigan, assigned in Dagami, Leyte. Died on June 18, 1962. (English)
