Your bot has been removing hundreds of badges that still apply: , . What's going on? Swpb (talk) 16:42, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

This is most probably the error I already encountered in Topic:V0u9it4abg6dpdnp. Urgent action needed to fix the bot!

I've just spotted this as well - looks like we're missing about 1600 FA badges from enwiki articles (~30% of them) and virtually all featured lists. Haven't checked other projects yet. Is it possible to roll back the last batch?

Jheald (talkcontribs)

Seems to have removed all the 'featured article' badges from en-wiki. What gives? Jheald (talk) 19:22, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

Anyone with the admin bit care to shut the bot down? Swpb (talk) 20:49, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

Matěj Suchánek (talkcontribs)

It seems to be putting them back again. When it's done, I will disable this task in User:DeltaBot/badges (until it's fixed).

Tacsipacsi (talkcontribs)

This isn’t resolved. It will be resolved once the bot works properly.

Pasleim (talkcontribs)

This was caused by a failure of either Petscan or WQS. I added a check to the script which detects similar situations and then stops editing.

Tacsipacsi (talkcontribs)

@Pasleim: It did stop editing. At all. For example Epic of Manas (Q690174) got its badge almost a month ago, and it’s still waiting for its badge to be added to Wikidata, along with 98 other pages. Is there any logging? It would be useful to log the caught errors (and at least occasionally check the logs…).

Pasleim (talkcontribs)

Thanks for reporting. There was either a change in Petscan or Wikidata API which broke the bot. Now it is working again .
