Merging items

Hallo Alexander,

When you are merging items, please use the Merge.js gadget. It helps you nominating, gives the option to always keep the lower number (which is older, so preferable) and makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

Эти правки - загадка для меня самого. Судя по соседним правкам, они были сделаны посредством wikidata-game, а значит должны основывать на данных статьи Википедии, но в ней самой нет таких данных. --Alexander Sigachov (talk) 14:50, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

The problem (for non-Cyrillic users) is that these items have different latin spelling. Some persons can have only Sergei as the main name, the others only Sergey... But of course, from point of view of Cyrillic users the items should be merged... I don't know how to solve this paradox. --Infovarius (talk) 19:51, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

And more. We should also consider Ukrainian spelling and transliteration, which is different from Russian. Are names Сергей (Sergey, Segrei) and Сергій (Sergiy) the same? And what if same person use both variants? --90.154.75.191 05:32, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

Hey, first of all, thank you for adding a Russian label to MTMT author ID (P2492) (and to many others), but are you sure it's correct? Добрый день. Спасибо за замечание. Не могу понять причины несоответствия, похоже, это просто ошибка копирования - исправил. Около года назад я загрузил словник всех статей с сайта БРЭ и отправил его в Mix'n'Match tool для помощи в простановке связей [4].
