--Pallerti (talk) 11:28, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Invalid Blocking edit

Editor "Csigabi" has abused of his editor's rights because there was a debate with him and I has not done vandalism and he himself has stated: "I do not want to take action myself as I'm already involved in the dispute." So he has had no right to blocking me, and it is another, neutral administrator who had to do this, if I made a mistake. The debate is personal with the administrator named above and he has just begun to pick a quarrel between us. I myself ask other administrators warn him to his rights and they who has viewed, monitored my former editings can have experienced that I am a good and useful editor and I am working for the benefit of Wikipedia and Wikidata and I have not deserved this punishment. Thank you for your kind attention!Borgatya (talk) 12:12, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

I take the block on me. Please, after getting unblocked, stop edit-warring and only add labels starting from a small letter (with obvious exceptions of proper names).--Ymblanter (talk) 15:11, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your reply, but what do you mean: "I take the block on me."Borgatya (talk) 16:28, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
He is assuming responsibility for the block, i.e. it is now as if he was the one who blocked you, not Csigabi. But I do agree that Csigabi should've had a neutral admin comment on this. If you wish to be unblocked, add {{unblock|your reason here}} below this with a reason to be unblocked. That reason must include the willingness to stop edit warring.--Jasper Deng (talk) 17:47, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
Indeed, I fully agree. Your edits were not vandalism but still were not constructive. If you agree to only edit constructively, pls post an unblock request here.--Ymblanter (talk) 19:00, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your sympathetic reply, my dear friends! The act of blocking would have been valid, if a neatral person had done. Csigabi was concered in the dispute between us and for him it was unethical to block me. His act was a simple revenge.Borgatya (talk) 16:28, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

I don't have an opinion on the original dispute, but I'd like to make a remark that may be useful. I'm sure anybody looking at the page history of this page can see that Borgatya has been reverting Csigabi's entries. What may not be obvious to everyone is that Borgatya is doing so using profane remarks in Hungarian in his/her edit summaries. --Malatinszky (talk) 20:21, 16 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Fülöp László (Q19057555) edit

Hi,

Here you reverted my edit (made while I was not logged in). Please check section 1.3.1 of the Help:Label page titled "Disambiguation information belongs in the description." It clearly says "When a page title includes disambiguation, either through commas or parentheses, the disambiguation should not be included in the Wikidata label." I'm going to redo my edit; please do not revert it again.

Thanks,

--Malatinszky (talk) 14:35, 17 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Capitalization edit

I saw that often write descriptions capitalized, but this is wrong. The acceptated rule is that "descriptions must begin with a lowercase letter except when uppercase would normally be required or expected". Please follow the rule, it is important for those who want to use the descriptions outside Wikidata. --ValterVB (talk) 18:56, 4 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Huszárik Zoltán - Nagy Anna edit

Szia! [1] Nagy Anna nem volt élettársa Huszárik Zoltánnak, vagyis nem éltek együtt... ettől még van egy közös gyerekük, de nem kéne (téves) következtetéseket levonni. Fauvirt (talk) 13:55, 10 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

On David Adger edit

Sorry, but what you write in the undo comment is plain wrong. <http://d-nb.info/gnd/152254293> is about the name "Adger, David", not about the person described in <http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q48924599>. If GND finds works by another David Adger, they will list it in the very same entry. It is thus not a suitable identifier for this item. Generally:

  • GND Tn entries (Thesaurus Name) are labelled “Name: Adger, David” (as <http://d-nb.info/gnd/152254293>, not suitable for Wikidata)
  • GND Tp entries (Thesaurus Person) for individual persons named “David Adger” would be labelled “Person: Adger, David” (okay for Wikidata)

In spite of having around 700.000 GND identifiers, we do not have any Tn type identifiers, except for the very one you’ve added twice now. If you want to find identifiers for this person, please have a look at <https://viaf.org/viaf/31319595/>. For good reasons, the wrong GND identifier is not part of that cluster.

Please adjust your position, and remove the wrong identifier from the item again (otherwise I will do so tomorrow). And please be more considerate with the undo button when you are not well-informed about how thing are done here. —MisterSynergy (talk) 19:52, 26 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please merge instead of blanking edit

Thank you for your work in maintaining Wikidata. I have a small suggestion to improve your future work. If you notice that two items are duplicates, please merge them instead of blanking one of them as you did with the page Q66372459. External sites use Wikidata identifiers, so it is important that we preserve the chain of references. See Help:Merge for more information on how to do this, and consider installing the Merge Gadget. Thanks! Bovlb (talk) 16:50, 7 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Again, same problem with László Mérő (Q64605995). I fixed it for you. Bovlb (talk) 16:45, 6 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
