Revert edit on Joyashree Roy (Q58212542) edit

Hi Girassolei,

Thanks for your edits on Joyashree Roy (Q58212542). I’m quite new to Wikidata myself, but as far as I know, references to databases do not need a source, as they are self-explanatory. This is explained in When to source a statement, 2. I’ve gone and reverted that edit. I hope that’s alright with you.

Happy editing! --ViktorQT (talk) 16:14, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Suggestions edit

Hi! Excuse me for writing in English. Thank you for creating Mário Afonso de Carvalho (Q106464713), I have made some edits and I'd want to share with you these suggestions for similar items:

  • you used VIAF as reference; however, since VIAF isn't a source itself but simply an aggregator of IDs, it's better to use the single VIAF member IDs as references; I've now used Portuguese National Library author ID (P1005) as source, adding the reference through User:Bargioni/UseAsRef (there is a video-explanation); references inserted in this way are very quick to add and are easily searchable through SPARQL queries. In order to use UseAsRef, you have to create your User:Girassolei/common.js writing into it:
importScript('User:Bargioni/UseAsRef.js');
  • languages spoken, written or signed (P1412)Portuguese (Q5146) allows users to find Portuguese-speaking authors easily
  • many values of given name (P735) can be added, with qualifier series ordinal (P1545) in order to specify their order

Ask me if you have any doubt. --Epìdosis 10:54, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Just another thing: in Carlos Parreira (Q106464507) you codified RERO ID (obsolete) (P3065) wrongly. In order to import IDs from VIAF ID (P214) easily and quickly, you can use User:Bargioni/moreIdentifiers. In order to use moreIdentifiers, you have to add to your User:Girassolei/common.js:

importScript('User:Bargioni/moreIdentifiers defaultconf.js');
importScript('User:Bargioni/moreIdentifiers.js');

Bye, --Epìdosis 16:38, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

P31 edit

Buenas Girassolei. --Vanbasten 23 (talk) 13:06, 3 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
