Fusion d'items edit

Bonsoir Sisyph,
Merci beaucoup. -- Pütz M. (talk) 23:59, 13 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
--Sisyph 18:41, 14 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
-- Pütz M. (talk) 22:13, 14 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
--Sisyph 06:03, 15 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

some help tools edit

Hi Pütz M.! You may add some help tools to user:Pütz M./common.js or (if you use the vector skin) to user:Pütz M./vector.js . Please see User:Rotsaert8000 (in Esperanto), Wikidata:Tools, and Wikidata:Tools/User scripts for candidates you may add. On the user:i18n-page you will see all WD gadget links. It takes time to see what fits most of your interests. Good luck! Please feel free to use the Wikidata Sandbox item: Wikidata Sandbox (Q4115189)      for your first steps adding some statements see Wikidata:List of properties. If you want to notify a user you may use {{ping|foo bar}} at any place on this wiki. Regards gangLeri לערי ריינהארט (talk) 19:49, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

adminship, edit

Hello, I want to nominate you to adminship, If you interest to run RFA, please write candidate acceptance in here. If you decide to running, Good luck. Regards,--DangSunM (talk) 01:28, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

@분당선M: Dear DangSunM, thank you very much for your trust in my work. What would be my tasks being an admin? It cannot be every day online. -- Pütz M. (talk) 01:34, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
usually deleting items that merged by yourself or RFD requests. Sometimes admins are doing revert and block the spam and vandalism or protect items. for details seeWD:A.--DangSunM (talk) 01:38, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
@분당선M: OK. Thanks. Please give me 24 hrs to think about it. -- Pütz M. (talk) 01:41, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
@분당선M: Dear DangSunM, I took a long time to think about your proposal. I appreciate very much the trust, that you have in my work. If I can contribute to make Wikidata a success, I will also not duck out of the responsibility. However, it seems, that I've recently made a mistake while cleaning up the the P21 constraint report (see message below). Even if it was with best intention and the description of the right values is (in my native language) a little bit misleading, it still could have been a mistake.
This is why I ask you - at least for the moment - not to pursue my candidature for adminship. I see myself still in a learning position. If you would nominate me in about three months, I'm almost sure, that I will accept. All the best. -- Pütz M. (talk) 22:56, 9 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
@분당선M: I think it might be better to discuss with users before creating their RFAs. Jianhui67 talkcontribs 05:24, 10 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thank you consider about my nomination. I hope you doing your best as you can:)--DangSunM (talk) 23:26, 10 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
This is a joke, isn't it? Administrators by throwing dice? --Jack User (talk) 04:06, 29 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Masculine/feminine edit

You've changed some sex or gender (P21) from male organism (Q44148) to male (Q6581097) and similar with feminine, but there were some errors: this change is wrong for animals. I've corrected one, the others is yous responsibility. --Infovarius (talk) 15:26, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Infovarius: Thanks for correcting this in the item for the band 702. The item previously had the property P21 male organism (Q44148). This is why I've assumed it could be replaced by female (Q6581072). However for animals, we also use female (Q6581072) and male (Q6581097). -- Pütz M. (talk) 15:38, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Infovarius: Hum ... seems as there would be a dissenting ruleset. I was relying on Wikidata:Database reports/Constraint violations/P21, that says "please use only: male (Q6581097), female (Q6581072), intersexual (Q1097630)". Only now I see, that Q44148 and Q43445 might be allowed too. However the description of items Q44148 and Q43445 (in my native language) points more to the biological organs of reproduction. And I see, for the moment, no specific reason, why we have different items for the species "homo sapiens" and the species "pan troglodytes". -- Pütz M. (talk) 16:17, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
male organism (Q44148) can be used for animals because it has many sitelinks and it is correct. male (Q6581097) is used because of the discussion in which some languages claimed that it is inappropriate (rude, obscene) to call humans male organism (Q44148). But the boundary between human and other animals can be vague, yes... --Infovarius (talk) 03:19, 9 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Invitation to Wikidata user study edit

Dear Pütz M.,
I am a researcher of the Web and Internet Science group of the University of Southampton.
Together with a group of other researchers from the same University, we are currently conducting a research aiming to discover how newcomers become full participants into the Wikidata community. We are interested in understanding how the usage of tools, the relationships with the community, and the knowledge and application of policy norms change from users' first approach to Wikidata to their full integration as fully active participants.
This study will take place as an interview, either by videotelephony, e.g. Skype, phone, or e-mail, according to the preference of the interviewees. The time required to answer all the questions will likely be about an hour. Further information can be found on the Research Project Page Becoming Wikidatians: evolution of participation in a collaborative structured knowledge base.
Any data collected will be treated in the strictest confidentiality, no personal information will be processed for the purpose of the research. The study, which has submission number 20117, has received ethical approval following the University of Southampton guidelines.
We aim at gathering about 20 participants, chosen among experienced Wikidata users who authored a large number of contributions.
Should you be interested in taking part or wish to receive further information, you can contact us by writing to the e-mail address ap1a14+wikidata_user_study@ecs.soton.ac.uk.
Thank you very much, your help will be much appreciated!
