Motivation

In 2013, the Russian Military Historical Society and VGTRK launched a project dedicated to the great generals of Russia over its more than a thousand-year history. On May 16 of the same year, the first article appeared, and by September 1, the project was completed with the publication of a complete list selected by Internet users.
